BBC Field Reporting
By the time I started reporting for the BBC I had begun
to emerge from the novice stage of my broadcast
journalism career. I was beginning to gain control
of my voice and my writing started to gain some much
needed discipline. None of the material below was
copy edited before going to air so what you hear is what
I wrote. I was 23 years old when I worked on this
assignment for the BBC.
