So funny I could cry
The facts combined with the a stunning degree of denial are what make the current trends so disturbing in the United States.  So many people would just rather pretend that the jobs aren't leaving, that the economy will turn around and that we will in fact gain control in Iraq.  Thankfully there is the simplicity of internet art and the Harper's Index to alleviate those notions.

Little known facts from the Harper's Index

  • Number of states in which Wal-Mart is the largest employer : 21
  • Days that AT&T ceased its TV advertising last March "out of respect for the U.S. military operation in Iraq" : 3
  • Amount Canada spent last summer to keep bears away from the G-8 summit : $31,427
  • Chance that a U.S. senior citizen reports having skipped medications or not filled prescriptions because of cost : 1 in 5
  • Percentage of male U.S. drivers who "often" or "sometimes" steer with their legs : 12

It'd be even funnier if it weren't true

Bush Humor

Homeland Security

The "Opposition"

Just funny shit...

""Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we."

"I want to thank the astronauts who are with us, the courageous spacial entrepreneurs who set such a wonderful example for the young of our country."

"Had we to do it over again, we would look at the consequences of catastrophic success, being so successful so fast that an enemy that should have surrendered or been done in escaped and lived to fight another day."
