London, England
This 1993 trip to London marked a pivotal time for me as I had just completed a massive train journey that began months earlier in Hong Kong and took me through China, Siberia, Russia, Eastern Europe to Paris and eventually across the Channel to London.  I had been reporting for the BBC Chinese World Service from rural China and came to the BBC's headquarters to produce finish production on my series "Postcards from China."  In typical Chinese fashion, my host zoomed me around the city just fast enough so I could get a snap shot in front of every major site.

""Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we."

"I want to thank the astronauts who are with us, the courageous spacial entrepreneurs who set such a wonderful example for the young of our country."

"Had we to do it over again, we would look at the consequences of catastrophic success, being so successful so fast that an enemy that should have surrendered or been done in escaped and lived to fight another day."
