I started in the ICRT Newsroom as an intern ripping
scripts from the wire machine. Back then, it
really was a "wire machine" that pumped out scripts on
paper. No automation. No computers.
Nothing. My job was to rip all of the copy off the
wire machine and then sort it out in different bins for
the writers and producers. As an 18 year old just
breaking in to the biz, it was the chance of a lifetime.
Later, I got the chance to anchor, produce and report
from the US and Taiwan for the station. Check out
a few samples.
