May 21, 2001: The beautiful new Shanghai subway.
Frankly, I can't believe they actually pulled this off.
They said they wanted to build a subway and I thought it would
be a low budget affair similar to what they have in Beijing.
Instead, the Shanghai officials put down some serious cash for
Siemens to come and build a German engineered system.
WOW.
